Philadelphia Noir...

Temple's Paley Library is hosting a great event on American Noir, which will include a discussion of Philadelphia Noir.  Please make this event if you can (Monday, October 8th at noon).  I have a class then, so you will have to fill me in.

Also note that this event precedes NoirCon a four-day festival of noir.  So if you are into noir--this is a great season for it in Philadelphia!

Free Admission to the Philadelphia History Museum

The Philadelphia History Museum at the Atwater Kent (formerly the Atwater Kent Museum), is reopened after being closed for several years.  If you aren't from Philadelphia this is a great place to begin to get a sense of the city's history.  If you are from Philadelphia, it will be good to see all the changes that have happened at the museum since its renovation.

The PHM will be open to all for free on Saturday September 22 and Sunday, September 23.  Find out more here and here.
